Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using VeloFlow ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use VeloFlow. These terms apply to all users, including free and Pro subscribers.

2. Description of Service

VeloFlow is a personal finance management application that connects to your financial accounts via Plaid to display balances, transactions, and investment data. VeloFlow also provides AI-generated financial insights for informational purposes. VeloFlow is not a licensed financial advisor and nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of a jurisdiction where the Service is available to use VeloFlow. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

5. Pro Subscription

Certain features require a VeloFlow Pro subscription, billed monthly or annually. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via Settings → Account → Manage Subscription. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred.

Prices are listed in USD and subject to change with 30 days notice.

6. Bank Account Connections

VeloFlow uses Plaid to connect to your financial institutions. By linking an account you authorize VeloFlow to retrieve read-only financial data on your behalf. You may revoke access at any time via Settings → Linked Accounts or directly through your bank's app permissions. VeloFlow does not initiate transactions, transfers, or payments on your behalf.

7. AI Features — Not Financial Advice

VeloFlow's AI-powered features — including AI Portfolio Analysis, Cash Flow Nudge, and Budget Advice — are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute:

• Investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security
• Financial planning or wealth management advice
• Tax advice or legal counsel
• Regulated financial advisory services under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or any applicable state law

VeloFlow is not a registered investment adviser with the SEC or any state securities regulator, and is not affiliated with FINRA or any financial regulatory body. AI-generated insights are based on mathematical heuristics and general financial principles — they do not account for your complete financial situation, risk tolerance, tax bracket, or personal goals.

You should always consult a qualified, licensed financial professional before making any investment or financial decision. VeloFlow expressly disclaims liability for any financial losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from VeloFlow
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• Use automated tools to access the Service without authorization
• Provide false information during registration

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeloFlow and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including financial losses resulting from reliance on AI insights or data inaccuracies. VeloFlow's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except for small claims or injunctive relief.

13. Contact

These terms are an agreement between you and Obsidian & Ivory LLC, a limited liability company formed in Arizona, which operates VeloFlow.
